We would like to start off by wishing everyone a Happy New year. As we know exams start shortly we thought we would help out our Urba-Life tenants.
Step 1 – The first factor you should be thinking about is, what are your goals? Did you achieve your goals last year? If not think about what you could of done different. It is very important that your goals are achievable and you think about them carefully.
Step 2 – Build a study plan to schedule your work in. It’s not healthy to have a heavy work load all the time as you can’t concentrate on one thing. The benefit of having a study plan is being able to prioritise your time and knowing when your deadlines.
Step 3 – Ask for help, don’t be afraid to ask your tutor because if you’re unsure then the only person who will suffer is you.
Step 4 – Take regular study breaks. It’s important that you give yourself time to recover after spending hours on work.
Step 5 – Be positive, it’s the best thing you can feel in life. Always think about what you want to achieve and what you can achieve. If you’re ever feeling down take a moment and re-think why you’re doing what you’re doing. It’s your future and life.
Step 6 – Meet study partners. If you’re a people person then why not work with people on the same course as you, if they are motivated and want to achieve good grades they why not work together.
Step 7 – Find out what helps you study. We spoke to a few of our students who stay at the Urba-life Solent uni accommodation, most of them said music helped them while studying. Why not find out what helps you study?
We hope these techniques help you with your studies and we wish everyone well on their upcoming exams.
