It can be difficult to fit studying in around your hectic social life, with so much going on at uni it is no wonder that some students let their coursework fall by the wayside. Which is why we’ve come up with some tips on how to manage your time:

  1. Get a wall planner

It sounds so simple, but it really is so effective! If your budget is tight, you can draw up one yourself or get a free downloadable one, or if you’re feeling lazy you can order one online. Having your work, exams, deadlines, and social events mapped out will make preparations for them a lot easier.

  1. Start a bullet journal

Bullet journals are a great, easily transportable way of keeping track of the millions of things you have to do. Check out Instagram for some great ideas on journaling entries and ways to decorate and key your diary.

  1. Set priorities

Arrange your planner or journal so that you are quickly and easily able to identify the most important tasks, that way you will have no nasty surprises.

  1. Stick to a schedule

Once you are in a regular weekly routine, you will find it much easier to create spare time for hobbies, projects or socialising.

  1. Schedule time off

Making sure you have time off from studying and activities is so important, don’t forget to make sure you have time off!

  1. Use time management apps

Using apps like Evernote or Focus Booster in combination with time management techniques such as the Pomodoro Technique, will help you get more done in less time.
